Eta Alpha Updates

A Letter from the President

Welcome to Eta Alpha Chapter at Furman University!  We are so happy to share our wonderful sisterhood with you. I am a senior Education major from Carversville, Pennsylvania. I went Kappa because the girls truly accepted me for me and I didn't have to change to become a Kappa. Rather, Kappa adapted to meet me where I was.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve my sisters as president of our Eta Alpha chapter. This past semester brought with it a new spring philanthropy event called Kappa Kickball, a fabulous new member retreat, and so many wonderful memories. I am constantly in awe of the motivation and enthusiasm displayed by the sisters in our chapter. I am honored to represent them, and am eager to see what the future holds for us.

In Kappa, we also have amazing opportunities to be a leader on campus.  Through different committees and activities, our sisters can be both philanthropic and athletic!  Our sisters’ diverse passions and interests also shine brightly among other campus organizations as we encourage our sisters to get involved and make lasting impacts across the whole campus.

Ultimately, Kappa Kappa Gamma offers so many opportunities for growth, leadership, friendship, scholarship, and self-discovery.  In our chapter, we emphasize that your experience in Kappa reflects what you are willing to give to your organization, your sisters, and yourself.  We wholeheartedly believe that Kappa is a way to be a part of something that soon becomes a part of you.

Most sincerely,

President of Eta Alpha, Class of 2015
